If your FIL tokens are currently on an exchange and you are eager to utilize it to earn rewards, and depositing to GLIF, this guide will simplify the process for you.

GLIF is compatible with most EVM wallets. This tutorial uses MetaMask wallet as an example; other wallets also work.

Step 1: Connect your wallet to GLIF and Filecoin Mainnet

After connecting your wallet, both the "0x" and "f410" addresses will be displayed in the top left corner of the GLIF website. If your wallet is an "f1" wallet address, it will appear here as well.

Step 2: Send Filecoin to the wallet 0x address

  1. Go to your centralized exchange, Binance, and locate FIL in your portfolio. Click "Withdraw."

  1. Select Network as "Filecoin".

  2. Enter your "0x"/ "f410"/"f1" wallet address accurately and specify the amount you want to send.

If you are doing this for the first time, it's good practice to send a small amount first in case you make any mistakes.

Step 3: Check FIL balance in your wallet

  1. Once the transaction is completed, you can verify your balance by clicking the "Wallet" tab on the GLIF website.
